Changes Made in Athletic Tickets and Fundraising

The Underwood Athletic Department is announcing two changes that should please the community.
- Next year the price of student athletic passes has been decreased to only $15! That is a decrease from $35 passes for students sold last year. The reason for the decrease in cost is that the school administration wants to promote more students attending athletic events. Adult passes will stay at $70, but another change was added, that being the addition of a family pass at a cost of $165. For a family with two or more school-aged children, a savings will occur.
- Fundraising for athletic teams will be greatly reduced next year. Teams are being encouraged to participate in fund raisers that promote school spirit or promote the sport (tournaments, camps, leagues, etc.). One fund raiser will be done in the fall, one in the winter, and one in the spring. Coaches will decide if their team will participate in the fundraiser for that season. The volleyball team will be conducting a great school spirit fund raiser in which they will paint a large "U" in your driveway or on your sidewalk for a fee. Heath Telleen will spearhead that fund raiser. The cross country team is seeking hole sponsors for the Athletic Booster Golf Tournament, and they will keep that money to support their program. Those are just two ways we are eliminating door-to-door fund raising
