On Saturday, October 24, eleven students from Underwood traveled to Harlan, Iowa to audition for the Iowa All-State ensembles. From the band, Katelyn Larsen (flute), Michelle Larsen (clarinet), and Blake Gunderson (trumpet) auditioned on respective instruments. All did a fine job and represented our school well!
From the choir, Lindsey Stubbs (Soprano), Dan Darnold (Tenor), Justin Otto (Baritone), Michelle Danker (Alto), Jessi Royer (Soprano), Caitlyn Miller (Soprano), Kristen Bracker (Alto), and Jake Flanagan (Bass) auditioned for the All-State Choir
Of the eight choir members, Dan Darnold was selected as First Alternate for the All-State Choir. This is a huge accomplishment for Dan. The Iowa All-State Choir is the highest honor a high schooler singer can receive in his or her career. Being selected as a First Alternate shows Dan's caliber as a singer and musician.
Congratulations to Dan Darnold and all the other students from Underwood who auditioned! All eleven students represented our school well with a sense of pride and excellence. Congrats!
