AUGUST 2016 DISTRICT DISPATCH The beginning of the 2016-17 school year is just around the corner. I hope you are having a great summer. Underwood Spanish Students Take Trip to Colima, Mexico

Recent Underwood grads Tyler Privia, Ansleigh Bashore, and Maria Pearson are enjoying a 10 day trip with Spanish teacher Ms. Knott to Colima, Mexico. These photos were from their trip to Nogueras. They also toured a botanical garden and went to a lagoon where you can sometimes see the volcanoes really well. They'll go to Manzanillo tomorrow.

Special Olympians Shine!

Every year, the Underwood Special Olympics competes in bowling, basketball, and track and field. This year for the first time, Underwood had two athletes make it to State in Ames. Hunter made it in the standing long jump and 200m dash and Rylee in the 50m dash. Hunter ended up placing first in the 200m and fourth in the standing long jump. Rylee placed third in the 50m. Congratulations to all of our athletes this year on a job well . . .

Choir Performance at Marat Sanatullov's Doctoral Recital

  This is the link for our choir's performance of Otche Nash (Our Father), sung in Old Russian.  It was composed by Marat Sanatullov, who worked with Director Eric Wyler and the choir during the second semester.  Our choir performs first in the video.  Senior Hannah Sealock is the soloist.   The rest of the recital includes a wide variety of work done by Marat.   . . .
