DRIVER EDUCATION INFORMATION
This information is written to inform all of the possible driver education students and their parents about a Spring driver education session and when it will take place.
CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED TO 18 STUDENTS (high school only)!
The first portion of driver education is the classroom experience. Each student will receive 30 hours of classroom instruction during this portion of the driver education program. If a student misses a class, it must be made up before they will receive their certificate. A student will not be allowed to miss more than 1 day of class (class times missed after 1 will have to be made up in the next session-Summer of 2019).
The second portion of the driver education program includes the behind the wheel driving experience. I will assign your child to a specific group of 3 students. I have the schedule set that most drives are on a consistent time and day. Students must have their driving permit by the first day of class, and each student is required to bring their permit each time they drive. I urge all parents to take their son/daughter out driving before, during, and after driver education. A good driver is not made just driving in this class; everyone can improve their driving skills no matter how good they are, especially the beginning driver.
Sessions:
Spring CLASSROOM: January 30 is the first class
We will meet every Wednesday. Completed on April 17.
We will meet in the high school room 115. 3:30 - 6:00
Spring DRIVE TIMES:
Drive times will be assigned during the first class.
Drives will be Monday, Thursday, or Friday every other week.
Completed by April 19.
*A fee of $255.00 to be included with the registration form.
