Last night Hadlie Jastorff was honored by the AAUW (American Association of University Women) with the Girl Power on Display Award. This award is given to middle school girls who have overcome and persevered through hardships. Hadlie was 1 of 12 girls who received this award throughout Southwest Iowa.

JOI Club kicked off the day by joining our elementary students for High Five Friday before they presented the elementary with new balls for recess! #WeAreTheU
Last night was a banner night for our spring sports programs! The boys golf team brought home the team title at the IKM-M Tournament, continuing a strong season on the course.
On the track, Bella Buckholdt broke her third school record of the season and earned a spot at the Drake Relays next week. The boys had a big night as well, with the 4x100 relay team of August Stange, Charlie Myers, Jack Hughes, and River Allen setting a new school record. Tayden Hull also punched his ticket to Drake by hitting the blue standard.

Sophomore Integration Day last week was all about giving back. Our sophomores spent time serving their community with visits to Charles E. Lakin, New Visions Homeless Services, Firefly, Inc., Together Inc. Food Pantry, Florence Lakin Child Development Center, Council Bluffs Park & Rec, Phoenix Movie Theater, the City of Neola, the City of Minden, and Arrowhead Park. Proud of the way they represented Underwood while making a positive impact! #WeAreTheU

Senior Integration focused on preparing for life after high school. Students explored topics like banking, budgeting, and career planning, gaining real-world knowledge for what’s ahead. Their culminating project challenged them to remodel a room in a house, working through budgeting and every step of the process. #WeAreTheU

We are excited for Prom in just a few weeks. Grand March will take place at the PACE Center in Council Bluffs. Doors open at 7:00 pm, with Grand March starting at 7:30 pm, followed by Coronation. The dance will begin around 8:00 pm and end at 10:30 pm. #WeAreTheU
Underwood CSD will have a 2-hour late start this morning (Tuesday, April 7, 2026) due to winter weather road conditions.
There will be no AM PK. Eagle Care will remain open this morning. Please travel safely.
