Yesterday in Life Skills the students worked on their goal setting by making a plan and then practiced their plan making skills by taping their classmate to the wall to see who can last the longest. #WeAreTheU



Chemistry students are investigating the relationship between electron energy levels and the color of emitted light by heating up metals and observing the color of their flames. #WeAreTheU

After reading chapters from our in-class novel, students practiced some kinesthetic learning while performing basic dance moves. The characters in our story are getting ready for a school dance. #WeAreTheU

Last week Mrs. Way's had Haley Fischer present Farms and Food for Kids. She came to us from West Pottawattamie County Farm Bureau. Students created a picture web while learning how food comes from a farm to our table. Loess Hills Agriculture will continue work in the classrooms in the upcoming months at the elementary! #WeAreTheU

Clarinet and Saxophone students from 6th-8th grade had the opportunity to work with Dr. Season Cowley from the University of Nebraska-Omaha yesterday. They talked about technique, how to make the best sound, and good habits for being a successful musician. Thanks for coming out Dr. Cowley!

Underwood FCCLA is hosting a Wishlist Drive for New Visions Homeless Services. Items will be collected at the volleyball game on Tuesday, October 1st against AHSTW and the football game on Friday, October 4th against Treynor. Please help support New Visions Homeless Services by donating items from the flyer shown below.
Items can be placed in the boxes at the entrances to both games. All items donated will be delivered to New Visions Homeless Services.
