Tonight's varsity baseball and softball games vs. AHSTW have been moved to a 5:30 pm start time due to impending weather. Our hope is to play JV baseball after the varsity, weather permitting.

Below is some general information regarding summer speed and strength workouts as well as sport specific workout opportunities taking place at the HS this summer.
All students entering grades 7 - 12 next year were given the opportunity to sign up for summer speed, power and strength training sessions at the end of last week. **Please note that if your student did not sign up they are still welcome to attend any session starting next week.
The sessions are 90 minutes in length and incorporate both speed, power and strength training. These sessions will take place every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Start Date: June 3rd
End Date: July 25th
-Session 1: 6:00-7:30 (9-12)
-Session 2: 6:45-8:15 (9-12)
-Session 3: 7:30-9:00 (7-9)
The first 45 minutes of the session will be focused on speed/power training. The second 45 minutes of the session will be in the weight room focused on strength training.
In addition to speed, power and strength training sessions there are also sport specific opportunities as well. Students were encouraged to sign up for speed and training sessions that would allow them to participate in their sport specific work as well. The sport specific opportunities are listed below.
-Football: Skill Work 6:30-8:00 (Tuesdays)
-Volleyball: Open Gym 8:00-10:00 (T/Th)
-Cross Country: Team Run 8:00 (Th) *Beginning 7/11
-Boys Basketball: Skill Work/Open Gym 8:00-10:00 (M/W/F)
-Girls Basketball: Skill Work/Open Gym 10:00-12:00 (M/W)
Lastly, please note that none of these are mandatory but we would love to have your son/daughter participate as much as possible. Also, things come up so these are subject to change please encourage your son/daughter to check their email for any changes that might take place. Softball will start at 7:00pm.
Just a heads up that we will be going to cashless ticketing for all summer events. Anyone can still purchase a ticket with a debit or credit card at the gate and all activity passes will still be accepted through the summer season.

Ms. McKearney’s AM class got to dress Mrs. Murray as a result of their 8 all here’s. Mrs. Murray will spend the day dressed as a ballerina!
There will be NO 2:30 dismissal for the HS students today. Dismissal will be at regular time. There will be no 8th grade orientation today, we will have a regular dismissal for the Middle School and Elementary. If the severe weather lasts longer, we will extend our dismissal time. We will keep you informed.
Tomorrow night's boys soccer substate game vs. West Sioux will now start at 6:00 pm. Best of luck to the boys as they work to punch their ticket to state!
Tonight's girls soccer game vs. Tri-Center has been adjusted to a 7:00 PM start time. The game will still be played in Treynor.
Mrs. Sondag’s 7th graders are writing one sentence class combination stories today.
Tonight's baseball and softball games in IKM-M have been postponed. We will now play varsity double header's on 6/7 in Underwood.
Tonight's girls soccer game vs. Tri-Center has been moved to Treynor with a 5:00 pm start time due to poor field conditions.
The Underwood CSD will have a one hour delay this morning due to severe weather. PK graduation will be at 10:00am.
Due to the severe weather warning The Underwood CSD buses will begin their routes at 7:15am this morning 5/21/24. As a result our routes will be 15-30 minutes behind schedule. School WILL start on time as of now, the bus riders may be a little bit late. Eagle Care is open. We will update you on any changes if needed.
Students in 7th/8th grade band got to spend the day at Adventureland, they had great weather and lots of fun!
