Today the UHS Concert Choir went on a tour around our community performing at four area nursing homes and retirement communities; The Heritage at Fox Run, Bethany Heights, The Rose of Council Bluffs, and Harmony Court. After performing, the students got to spend a few moments greeting the residents. It was a great day of making music! #WeAreTheU

FCCLA will be hosting a Halloween Drive-In Movie for ALL High School students on Thursday, October 30th at 7:00 pm. Meet in the high school parking lot to enjoy the show "Halloweentown". Popcorn will be provided. Pop and candy may be purchased for a small fee. #WeAreTheU

This past weekend Kaylie DeVault, Ally Adams, Isabel Irwin and Rileigh Martin competed in Class IV Iowa State Solo Qualifiers. Congratulations to Ally Adams and Isabel Irwin for receiving a Division 1 rating.  #WeAreTheU

Last week the high school students went down to the elementary and middle school to practice leadership in creating and executing an activity of their choosing. #WeAreTheU

7th grade science students conducted an energy transfer lab! #WeAreTheU

Sixth Grade math students did some exploration with coordinate planes and ordered pairs as they played a game of Battle Boats. #WeAreTheU

Congratulations to our Underwood Special Olympic athletes!

On Tuesday, they competed in the Southwest Area Bowling Competition at Maplewood Lanes in Omaha. Gage Doyen and Makenna Christensen earned 1st place and will advance to the State Competition in November. Kresten Renshaw and Isabella Paugh placed 2nd, and Sydney Brokman placed 3rd.

Students in Mr. Blum's Accounting class are practicing real-world skills by analyzing business entries and using spreadsheets to journalize transactions. #WeAreTheU

Just a reminder that tomorrow's playoff game vs. South Central Calhoun requires online tickets.

All tickets must be purchased online through the IHSAA — they will not be available on Bound.

Additionally, all students are required to purchase a ticket for entry due it being a postseason event.

State football shirts are in and ready for pick-up. If you have a student in the district, your shirt will be sent home with your oldest student. If you do not have a student in the district, your shirt is available for pick-up at the high school.

Shirts can be picked up today until 4:00 PM and tomorrow evening until 7:00 PM during conferences.
