All District Speech Competitors Move on to State!
Receive Division I Ratings at Districts
On Saturday, January 19, 2019, seven Underwood students, along with their coach, Jennifer Weaver, traveled to Clarinda High School to compete at District Large Group Speech. Students participated in group improvisation and Readers Theatre. One improv team was made up of Justin Rosas, Josie Rosas, and Skyler Keller. The other improv team consisted of Lennon Etter-Senecal, Jacob Hills, Phoebe Wilson, and Ashley Knudtson. The Readers Theatre group performed a children’s story, and the group members were Ashley Knudtson, Phoebe Wilson, Josie Rosas, and Jacob Hills. All groups received a Division I rating, which means they will all be traveling to State Speech at West Des Moines Valley High School on Saturday, February 2. This is truly an honor, and we wish our students luck in the next level of competition. Go Eagles!
